Abstract:
The damage of interlaid rock caused by blasting will affect the stability of the adjacent adjoining rock and tunnel lining directly, especially in the small interval tunnel. Based on the construction of Shizishan Tunnel in Nanping, Fujian Province, some detailed monitoring for the blasting vibrations in surrounding rock mass and tunnel lining were carried out. According to the measured data, the dynamic mechanics parameters of adjoining rock were back-analyzed through numerical simulations. The velocity distribution characteristics of interlaid rock vibration in three directions were well studied. Then, some conclusions about the interrelation of this three-direction velocity can been drawn which could provide some reference to the blasting controlling in the small interval tunnel. © 2014 American Society of Civil Engineers.
