This　article　aims,　taking　Fuzhou　University　Academy　of　Arts　&　Craft　Library　as　an　example,　through　statistical　analysis　of　borrowing　in　each　major　over　the　recent　three　years　(2011–2013),　at　understanding　the　needs　of　the　reader　and　analyzing　reading　psychology　and　psychological　dispositions,　for　a　better　service　for　optimization　of　construction　and　collection,　and　college　research.　University　Library　is　the　information　center　of　school’s　documents,　an　academic　institution　for　teaching　and　scientific　research.　In　the　daily　work　of　the　library,　serving　readers　are　a　priority,　how　to　improve　the　utilization　rate　and　satisfaction　of　the　library　is　an　important　index　of　the　library　construction.　By　statistically　analyzing　the　borrowing　state　and　readers　requirements　in　each　major,　adjusting　the　collection　and　rationally　allocating　library　limited　funds　and　resources,　the　borrowing　status　in　Animation,　Visual　Communication,　Environment　Art　and　Industrial　Craft　is　analyzed　and　the　way　to　optimize　the　library　collection　structure　by　making　use　of　＇ILAS　management　system＇　of　Fuzhou　University　Academy　of　Arts　&　Craft　Library　is　discussed.　©　2015　Taylor　&　Francis　Group,　London.
