Abstract:

A new energy equalization algorithm based on HEED algorithm is proposed to solve the problem of energy consumption imbalance and extend the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. The algorithm chooses the cluster head according to the HEED algorithm of the cluster head election, and then graded the cluster head according to the distance to the basestation. The Dijkstra algorithm using energy and distance as composite weights is introduced in the data transmission between clusters. Finally, through theoretical analysis and simulation, it is proved that the algorithm has a good effect on controlling the energy consumption of wireless sensor networks and prolonging their lifetime. © 2017 IEEE.
