Abstract:

This paper describes the nonlinear finite element analysis model of double circular helical bevel gear nutation drive, the model considering the changes of elastic contact deformation, friction force and the number of meshing tooth of gear, reflecting the actual driving situation of the gear in nutation transmission and dynamic loading. The dynamic meshing of double circular arc spiral bevel gears at different rotate speeds is simulated by nonlinear finite element analysis software,and vibration displacement, dynamic meshing stress and contact force of nutation gear and output gear are analyzed. In order to improve the stability of nutation drive and reduce the vibration and noise, the nonlinear dynamic meshing analysis of nutation drive cannot be ignored. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
