This　paper　reports　research　on　the　structure　and　mechanical　properties　of　nitrided　iron　electroplated　by　various　methods.　The　experimental　results　show　that　nitriding　can　raise　the　microhardness,　red　hardness,　wear　resistance　and　corrosion　resistance　of　the　layers　as　well　as　the　binding　force　of　the　layer　to　the　substrate.
