Abstract:
The experimental results on sixteen concrete-filled steel tube column-steel beam joints with external ring subjected to cyclic lateral load are generally introduced in this paper. It shows that dimension of the ring influences the location of plastic hinge and the failure model. It was found that the 2/3 dimension of ring of CFSTJR in existing design code for concrete-filled steel tubular structure is adoptable, on the base of analysis the influence of the dimension of ring on the bearing capacity, strength and Rigidity degradation, dissipated energy. At last, some reasonable advices for design are proposed.
