Abstract:
Experiments were conducted to assess the practical utility of the spherical sulfonic lignin adsorbent (SSLA). The adsorption isotherm for the adsorbed L-arginine on the SSLA was analyzed using Langmuir isotherm. The change in apparent enthalpy, free energy, and entropy of adsorption were also calculated. The value of free energy was observed to be negative and was found to decrease with increasing temperature. The results indicate that the adsorption process is endothermic and is temperature dependent.
