Abstract:

Based on nonlinear full-range analysis, considering both geometrical and material nonlinearity, ultimate load-carrying capacity of cooperated system is calculated. The study on effects of the concrete shrinkage and creep, the ratio of reinforcement of stiffening girder, the safty coefficients of cable and restraint of bearing on ultimate load-carrying capacity of the structure indicates that the elastic ultimate load-carrying capacity is much greater than the elastic-plastic one, and the attention should be paid to selection of the safety coefficient of the cable. Furthermore it is found that for the condition of loading on the entire bridge and half bridge, the safety coefficients of ultimate bearing capacity of Jinma bridges are respectively 21.40 and 9.67, which means that the ultimate bearing capacity of cooperated system is very fine. Some conclusions are given which will be helpful to the preliminary design and construction of the similar bridge.
