Abstract:

By establishing the induction motors stator temperature distribution test system, temperature distributions of induction motor stator winding under typical operating conditions are tested in this paper. Based on measured temperature distribution data, characteristics of motor stator temperature distribution are analyzed. It draws the conclusion that the maximum temperature of stator winding is located at shaft side end-windings at terminal box side. Based on thermal theory of induction motor, induction motor stator 3D temperature field simulation model is established to research temperature distributions in more operating stations. And the broad applicability of the stator windings' maximum temperature region which is determined by test is verified. On this basis, integrated motor protection ideas and specific protect program based on stator current and the maximum temperature are proposed. The scheme will ensure the safety of motor and maximize the role of the electric motor. It can reduce and even avoid the losses caused by interruption of the production process.
