Abstract:
Geosynthetic reinforced pile supported embankment is a new ground treatment technology developed in recent years. The advantages of this technology include several aspects such as reducing the number of piles, decreasing project costs and increasing speed of construction. Finite element method has been used to analyze the variation of stresses in geosynthetic reinforced pile supported embankment due to high-speed train loading. The influence on the stress of the embankment from soft soil deformation modulus, elastic modulus of piles, elastic modulus of geogrid and the space between piles are analyzed. It has been proved that these four factors above have certain effects on the stresses in soft soil, piles and geogrids.
