Abstract:
Effect of oxide inclusion on dynamic recrystallization behavior of 1235 aluminum alloy were investigated by hot compression deformation tests on a Gleeble-1500 simulator and a dynamic recrystallization kinetics model was established. Results show that dynamic recrystallization occurred in 1235 aluminum alloy treated by different purification processes during hot deformation. The predicted results of dynamicaly recrystallized volume fraction by the model agrees well with the measured ones. At the same condition of deformation, the process of dynamic recrystallization occurs more slowly in the alloy with less impurities. Tiny inclusions inhibite the growth of recrystallized grains. As a result, the recrystallization grains are smaller.
