Abstract:
Poly{(3-butyryl) pyrrole-[2, 5-diyl(p-tetradecoxybenzylidane)]}(PBPDTBA) was synthesized by ultrasonic irradiation method, and then poly{(3-butyryl) pyrrole-[2, 5-diyl(p-tetradecoxybenzylidene)]} (PBPDTBE) was prepared by reaction of PBPDTBA with chloranil. Their molecular structures and properties were characterized by FT-IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra, TG and PL spectra. The result show that PBPDTBE exhibits good solubility in organic solvents and the solubility in chloroform is 0.66 g/mL. The optical absorption of PBPDTBE in CHCl3 solution and PBPDTBE film is broad in the wavelength range of 400 nm~600 nm and the absorption peaks are located around 455 nm and 462 nm, respectively. Thermal decomposition processes of PBPDTBA and PBPDTBE are divided into two steps, which correspond to the fracture of butyryl group and tetradecoxyphenyl group respectively, and the initial decomposition temperature is 210.45°C and 230.01°C, respectively. PBPDTBA and PBPDTBE are both green light-emitting materials, and the maximum emission wavelengths are located at 514 nm and 520 nm, respectively.
