Abstract:

With the development of the shipping industry, marine environmental pollution problems have been increasingly attracting so much attention, but the problem of ship bilge water discharge violations has not been well solved. Based on the analysis of the problems of the current oily water separator monitoring system, a set of improved oily water separator system of monitoring is proposed. The system is integrated with flow sensor, the positioning module and AIS (automatic identification system) transmission module based on the original module. The total amount of dirty oil can be calculated by the oily water separator during a period of time, and when contrasted with the normal discharge of the oil to get the oily water separator operation indicators of the current ship, it can be used as a reference to the maritime administrator. When the ship receives AIS from administrator, it will automatically reply to a packet of query message of the ship operation indicators, thus improving the efficiency of the maritime administrator. © 2015, ICIC International.
