Abstract:

Crescent arch - continuous beam composite bridge structures combine crescent arch's novel modeling and advantages of a arch continuous beam bridge structure, which is first applied for Zhangzhou Jiulong River Bridge. A full-bridge plexiglass model test of a crescent arch - continuous beam composite bridge structure was conducted. Three structural tests were done, which are a crescent arch -continuous beam composite bridge structure, the vice suspender removed and the vice arch removed - continuous beam composite bridge structure, and the crescent arch and suspender removed continuous beam structure. The research on structural responses under loads shows that mechanical performance of a crescent arch - continuous beam composite bridge structure is better than continuous beam structure and common arch - beam composite bridge structure.
