Abstract:
Fluorinated poly (methyl) acrylate emulsions have attracted wide attention in the field of waterborne fluorinated coatings due to the advantages of simple synthesis and easy adjustment of properties. In addition, the resultant coatings possess low surface energy, good anti-fouling property, and excellent chemical stability. The chemical compositions of monomers using for the synthesis of fluorinated poly (methyl) acrylates have remarkable impact on the properties of emulsions and coatings. The relationships between the structures of fluorinated monomers including fluorinated alkyl (methyl) acrylates, fluorinated heteroatom (methyl) acrylates, fluorinated aromatic (methyl) acrylates, fluorinated (methyl) acrylamides, fluorinated sulfonamide (methyl) acrylates and the properties of emulsions and coatings are summarized. Then, the synthesis methods and application of fluorinated poly (methyl) acrylate emulsions are introduced. Finally, the existing problems and future development directions of fluorinated poly (methyl) acrylate emulsions are prospected. © 2020, Editorial Office of FINE CHEMICALS. All right reserved.
