Abstract:
In the paper, a fuzzy logic control scheme of the Magnetorhelogical (MR) semi-active suspension was proposed, to reduce the fluctuation of dynamic tires load, which improves the vehicle. stability and anti-lock braking system (ABS) performance. A half car nonlinear vehicle dynamics model with four degree of freedom was developed along with models for a MR damper and a hydraulic ABS system. Individual fuzzy logic controllers was constructed for each subsystem. Influences of road, surface roughness on ABS performance were investigated. Simulation study results demonstrate that the integrated controllers significantly improve the vehicle stability and ABS performance during emergency braking.
