Abstract:
When GM (1, 1) is used in the life prediction of mechanical products, few of data is needed and the experimental period is shorten. In this paper, in order to improve the prediction accuracy of GM (1, 1), a new GM (1, 1, beta) has been constructed with the difference scheme in GM (1, 1), and Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (PSO) has been applied to solve the best value of parameter beta in GM (1, 1, beta), then PSO-GM (1, 1, beta) has been constructed. Some practical examples in the life prediction of mechanical products show that PSO-GM (1, 1, beta) is efficiency, reliability and remarkable.
