The　emphasis　of　enterprises　information　is　manufacturing　information,　the　key　of　which　is　to　realize　the　information　sharing　and　integrating.　In　this　paper,　a　new　approach　to　integrate　CAx/PDM　systems　is　provided,　which　is　based　on　service-oriented　architecture.　In　accordance　with　service　architecture,　the　PDM＇s　functionality　can　be　encapsulated　by　a　new　interface　which　is　developed　based　on　it＇s　original　interface.　In　this　way,　the　PDM　can　be　invoked　as　a　service　for　CAx　systems,　such　as　CAD,CAPP,CAE　etc,　the　CAx　systems　can　share　information　with　each　other　and　realize　the　integration　of　heterogeneous　system.
