Abstract:

Traditional half bridge dual buck inverter (DBI) has a low power density due to the employing of two large input capacitances and two discrete output inductors. Magnetic integration is an effective method to enhance power density. However, unexpected circulating current may be induced by adopting conventional magnetic integration scheme. This paper proposes a novel magnetic integrated DBI inverter, which can eliminate circulating current by using a partly coupled inductors with non-dotted ends connected. The power density can be elevated effectively by eliminating two large input capacitances and coupling two discrete inductors simultaneously. In addition, the modified model predictive control (MPC) scheme has been applied to obtain more outstanding performance in zero-crossing point compared with traditional voltage-current dual loop PI control. The generating principle of circulating current and operating principle of proposed inverter have been analyzed in detail. Finally, simulation and experiment results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed inverter.
