Abstract：
Octadecyl hydrogen maleate (OHM) is a dispersing x-ray organic crystal with large 2d-spacing (2d = 63.5 angstrom). The OHM crystal has stable physico-chemical properties and good mechanical performance. It is easily processed. The OHM crystal has proved to be an ideal dispersing element in the analysis of soft x-ray spectroscopy.
