Abstract:
The microwave dielectric ceramics BaTi4+xO9+2x (x=0.0 similar to 0.50) were prepared by solid state reaction method. The influence of composition and sintering temperatures on phase constitution composition and dielectric properties were investigated. Relative densities of 97%-98% were achieved for the BaTi4+xO9+2x ceramics sintered at 1300 similar to 1350 degrees C. Single phase BaTi4O9 was observed for BaTi4+xO9+2. (x <= 0.28) ceramics. While Ba2Ti9O20 and TiO2 Were presented in BaT4+xO9+2x (x >= 0.33) ceramics besides BaTi4O9. Ba2Ti9O20 increased with sintering temperature increasing. Dielectric constant increased with the TiO2 content increasing. But opposite trends were observed for Qf values of BaT4+xO9+2x ceramics, which gradually decreased from about 40 000 GHz for x=0.0 to about 15 000 GHz for x=0.50.
