Abstract：

Compound　HCB0-1711-1　was　isolated　from　the　broth　of　Claviceps　purpurea　HCB0-1711.　Based　on　its　physico-chemical　properties,　UV,　ESI-MS　and　NMR　spectra　data,　the　structure　of　HCB0-1711-1　was　identified　and　was　identical　with　that　of　ergosterol.
